Case20: eNB doesn’t trigger handover due to no measurement report

Equipment: H2000

Version: Firmware-V1.6.7~1.6.9

Band: B40, Bandwidth: 10Mhz.

Scenario: eNB1 ARFCN-38700 eNB2 ARFCN-38800

1. Issue Description

Handover test from eNB2 to eNB1 is successful, but it fails to trigger handover request from eNB1 to eNB2.

2. Troubleshooting procedure

Configuration parameter

check: Neighbours setting-correct.

A2/A3/A4/A5 measurement event setting-correct.

Logviewer log analysis:

From the eNB1 logviewerlog, there was no measurement report uploaded and the “allowedMeasBandwidth” was mbw100.

Summary:

B40 supports the frequency band 2300-2400MHz. Arfcn 38700 is corresponding to frequecny 2305 Mhz, if the “allowedMeasBandwidth” is configured as 20Mhz(100RB), it will exceed the frequency border 2300Mhz and affect its measurement function.

Check the paramter “AllowedMeasBandwidth”, some of them are not aligned correctly

3. Solution

Align the parameter “allowedmeasBandwidth”from 100 to 50 under “Mobility”.

After rectify the parameter, handover test success from eNB1(172.26.36.1) to eNB2(172.26.3.6.2).
